PU students shine in CM Spring Festival 2013

Lahore, The Punjab government and 10th All Pakistan Naqsh Art Festival, GIKI, Swabi conducted Chief Minister’s Spring Festival 2013 in which College of Art and Design of Punjab University has got awards in this festival.

Institutions from all over the country took part in these competitions. In Chief Minister’s Spring Festival 2013, Mudassir Kazmi and Javed Iqbal clinched second and third position respectively in painting competition while Muneeb Ali stood third in Calligraphy competition.

In 10th All Pakistan Naqsh Art Festival GIKI, Topi, Swabi, Javed Iqbal won first position in calligraphy, Javed Iqbal and Mudassir Kazmi stood second and third in theme based painting respectively, Zunash, Ushna and Wajeeha got first position in Textile Design, Mudassar Kazmi grabbed first position in Landscape Painting, Hareem stood second in Sculpture and Mudassir Kazmi and Javed Iqbal got first and second position respectively in Portrait Painting.

A Career Development Conference was organized by Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) standing committee on Training and Development and TQM and Institute of Administrative Sciences and Platform on March 1st and 2nd 2013 at Institute of Administrative Sciences and LCCI.

Mr. Adeel Anwar,  Director OD & T arid Telecom argued on career guidance. Panelists included Mr. Sohail Rizvi, Group Head learning and talent development, Allied Bank. Mr. Ahmad Saeed, Director consultancy at Consultation CK, Mr. Ijaz Nisar, Founder & President of Magazine, Manager Toda. At the end shield and bouquets were presented to the honorable guest speakers, panelists and conveners by the Director IAS.
 
The University of the Punjab was established in 1882 which is the largest and the oldest seat of higher learning in Pakistan. This was the first university established in the sub-continent in Muslim majority area. Two eminent laureates are from this University showed great significance for its academic and research excellence.

The university has a great importance for higher education and are playing its worth role in this regard. The University struggles to provide amusing environment to get excellence in its academic activities. The varsity provides pleasant environment and low tuition fees which remains the institution of first choice for to get admission in the varsity.
