PU increased MPhil thesis allowance

The administration Punjab University has raised the MPhil thesis stipend from Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,500 on the ultimatum of Academic Staff Association of the varsity.

It was informed on Tuesday during the Punjab University Academic Staff Association’s executive council meeting along with the Vice- Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran.

President of PUASA Prof Dr Hasan Mobeen Alam, Vice-President Professor Dr Abid Hussain Chaudhry, Dr Mahboob Hussain, executive members, Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Shahid Munir, RO-1 Prof Dr Sajid Rashid, Acting Treasurer Rao Muhammad Sharif and RO II Malik Muhammad Zaheer were also present on the occasion.

 The administration of University of the Punjab also confirmed the ASA of offering the support about buying the land for University Town III.

The allocation demanded the Vice Chancellor for recognition of journals of oriental languages upon which the Vice Chancellor rapidly took up the matter along with HEC, Pakistan for resolution to the issue.

Dr Mujahid Kamran also ordered the officials concerned to resolve the remaining issues of University Town 1 as well as of Town 2.

In the meeting, establishment of University Town 3 was also discussed and it was decided to looking for the opinion from the legal adviser about buying undisputed land. The ASA allocation also demanded the Restoration of Orderly Allowance, buying of the latest van for ASA and quality repair work of houses.
