PTCL begins One-Year Paid Internship Program 2014 for Youth

Islamabad, One-Year Paid Internship Program 2014 has been initiated by Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) for the talented youth of Pakistan.

The internship program will provide the skills and experience to youth to avail more opportunities in future. They could also get skills to compete in today’s world with challenging job market.

Walid Irshaid, President & CEO PTCL said that PTCL will make influence in the socio-economic condition of the country by implementing various community development programs and these would also be beneficial for the society.  He further said that such initiatives can play a vital role in the nourishment of the country and society to produce future leaders.

PTCL continued the tradition of serving the country as well as the society by introducing various progressive programs. Likewise previous year the one-year internship program is being offered in several disciplines such as engineering, finance, customer care, marketing, IT, HR etc.

Syed Mazhar Hussain, Chief Human Resource Officer PTCL while highlighting the merits of this program said that it has been designed to boost the talent of our youth and will provide a base for innovative developments and approaches for the betterment of society.

Around 50 top doers of first batch got the opportunity of full-time employees at PTCL, while 100 interns also got the opportunity in other organizations on successfully completion of one year internship program. Over 283 internees also get chances to find jobs during the internship program. The batch including the 500 interns has been selected this year after the formal evaluation process. They have joined the program with stipend of Rs 15, 000 per month.

The one-year paid internship structuralized program will delivers the youth an opportunity with advanced technologies and make them enable to expose best business practices under the guidance of industry gurus. Named as Triple E, centered on the principles of Engagement, Encouragement, and Evolution the program will surely provide the base for successfully succeeding in the competitive corporate world.
