PTA organized workshop on Internet of Things

Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has organized an awareness seminar on the Internet of Things (IOT) here at PTA Headquarters. The chairperson of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, and Member (Finance) Tariq Sultan, Member (Compliance and Enforcement) Abdul Samad, senior officers of PTA, authorities from telecom sector as well as the members of academia joined the conference.

Mr. Shoaib Akmal gave a comprehensive presentation to the partakers on IOT. He also introduced the partakers regarding the IOT Components, Devices as well as the Sensors, Networks, Cloud Computing as well as the IOT Applications.

Mr. Shoaib Akmal is a telecom industry veteran along with more than 15 years of experience working in the wireless industry in the United States. He has conducted several training sessions as well as the seminars on different 3G, 4G wireless topics. He has trained and mentored the beginner level engineers and also the top level technical managers for top tier wireless operator in United States.

It might be added that, Internet of Things (IOT) is the latest world order connecting billions of devices together. These devices have the capability of sensing, communicating and the decision making are presumed to make human life quiet convenient as well as more effective.

IOT will have a deep effect on everything from the electronic sensors to cloud the computing and from the wireless networks to the application development. This workshop moreover introduced the attendees to the different IOT concepts as well as its constituents.
