Faisalabad: On Monday, the local private schools parents association protested against the recent 25% increase in fee by some private educational institutes.

The parents of children registered in private schools shouted the slogans on Canal Road. The parents were also carrying placards carved with slogans like ‘Let’s join hands to defeat the traders of education’, ‘Don’t play with the future of children’, ‘Criminals cannot teach rule of law’ as well as ‘our kids, our money’.

While talking to the media sources, the protesters claimed that the school management was sanctioned to raise fee by only 5% though they had increased it by 25 percent.

They further added that the parents were unable to meet the new fee structure which will increase their expenditures.

They requested the chief justice of Lahore high Court to take suo motu notice of the issue and penalize the school managements for violating the government rules.

After registering their protest, the campaigners dispersed peacefully.
