Karachi, President All Private Schools Management Association (APSMA) Sindh, Khalid Shah, said that APSMA supported the decision of one weekly off but openly opposed the recommendation of the Steering Committee for Education about curtailing the winter vacation.
Talking to the media here he said that they were already demanding to end public holiday on Saturdays, so APSMA appreciated the recommendation of the Steering Committee in this regard.
Shah said that a 10-day winter vacation was the right of students. Students used these holidays for their extracurricular activities including visits and tours along with their families which refreshed their minds. The winter vacations should be continued in the cities like Karachi, where the recent floods did not hit.
