CSS Exam Age Policy

In the previous reports, the government decided that they will reduce the age limit by 2 years for the CSS exam. The upper age limit for appearing in the CSS examination is 30 years but it was decided that the new upper age limit will be set to 28 years if the latest changes are implemented. The relaxation in age for government employees will also be reduced by 4 years which was previously 32 years.

Dr. Ishrat Hussain rejected to implement the latest changes and denied to make any changes in the reports for the age limit either of the government employees or regular applicants appearing in the competitive exams.  According to CSS age policy, the age limit for the candidates applying for the CSS papers is set at 30 years while the relaxation of two more years is applied for the government employees.

CSS Reserved Quota

The students applying for CSS has a special quota in the test from rural and underdeveloped parts of Pakistan. The candidates applying to the rural quota are given some relaxation according to their exposure to the latest education trends. The policy for CSS reserved rural students' quota was also under discussion that it should be removed and students should not be given any special quota and they will compete like the rest of the students. However, the Prime Minister’s adviser also went against this policy change and said that no changes will be made in the reports of the quota reserved for certain parts of the country in the CSS exams.
