PPSC Increases Fee Collection Target For PPSC Exams

Punjab Examination Service Commission (PPSC) has increased the target of collecting fees for PPSC exams in the new Fiscal year.

As per the details, an additional target burden of Rs. 6 crore in terms of examination fees in the new fiscal year will be on PPSC while directly on the candidates.

In the financial year 2019-2020, the target for the collection of PPSC examination fees was set at Rs. 255.3 million. As per the documents, the given target was achieved by Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).

Target for PPSC to Collect Examination fees Increased

As per the details given by the officials of Finance department, the target for PPSC to collect examination fees in the new fiscal year has been increased within the revised budget. Now, in the financial year 2020-2021, the target has been set to collect the examination fees of Rs. 315.2 million.

The officials of Finance department furthermore said that Punjab Public Service Commission will now collect the fee directly from the candidates appearing for the competitive exams.

Punjab Government Allows PPSC to Conduct Interviews of Candidates

On the other hand, the government of Punjab has allowed Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) to conduct interviews of candidates. The Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, M.Usman has issued a notification in this regard after the approval of the Punjab Cabinet Committee.

PPSC will now be able to hold the interviews of the candidates in phases after implementing SOP’s formulated by Punjab Health Department but the process of written examination will remain suspended. As per the issued notification, the approval for interviews was given just to PPSC whereas other departments have not been allowed yet.

It is also important to mention here that the Punjab government had earlier stopped PPSC to hold interviews of the applicants who had passed the written exams because of the lockdown in the country.
