The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has officially released the results of the written examinations conducted for several vacant positions in various government departments across the province. The announcement was formally made by the Secretary of PPSC, Afzal Ahmad, providing a major update for thousands of aspiring candidates who appeared in the recent competitive exams.
The notification brings clarity to recruitment processes in departments ranging from district administration and revenue to law enforcement. According to the details shared by the commission, successful candidates have been shortlisted for the next phase of selection, which typically includes skill tests or interviews.
The PPSC has published separate merit lists for each category of posts, reflecting the commission’s commitment to transparent and merit-based recruitment. Here is a detailed look at the results for the major positions:
In the administrative district of Gujrat , the competition for clerical and support staff has concluded with the announcement of the shorthand and typing test results. For the three vacant posts of Stenographer in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Gujrat, one candidate has been declared successful in the English typing and proficiency test. The candidate will now proceed to the document verification and interview stage.
Meanwhile, in the Rawalpindi region, the Deputy Commissioner’s office witnessed a larger pool of applicants for its 18 vacant Stenographer posts. Following a rigorous evaluation, eight candidates have successfully secured positions in the merit list.
A significant number of candidates applied for the technical positions within the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA). For the 42 vacancies for the post of Computer Operator/System Operator, the written test proved to be highly competitive. According to the results, 187 candidates have successfully passed the written examination and qualified for the next stage.
These candidates are now eligible to appear before the interview panel. Given the nature of the role, the PPSC and PRA are expected to scrutinize the technical qualifications of the shortlisted applicants during the interview process.
In a major development for law enforcement recruitment in the province, the PPSC has also announced results for Sub-Inspector positions in two major divisions.
In Faisalabad , a total of 30 candidates have successfully qualified for the vacant Sub-Inspector posts. Similarly, for the Lahore Region , 29 candidates have passed the written test and will now proceed in the recruitment process. These candidates will be subjected to the physical standards tests and interviews as per the policy set by the Punjab Police and the PPSC.
Following the announcement, PPSC officials have issued a clear set of instructions for all candidates who have been declared successful in the written tests.
The Commission will not be dispatching physical call letters via postal mail. Instead, call letters for the interview or subsequent skill tests will be uploaded on the official PPSC website (www.ppsc.gop.pk). Candidates are strictly instructed to regularly visit the website and download their respective call letters from their online accounts.
To ensure candidates do not miss important updates, the PPSC will also send notifications via SMS to the registered mobile numbers of the shortlisted candidates. This step is designed to keep the process transparent and accessible to candidates residing in remote areas.
This is a critical stage for all shortlisted applicants. PPSC officials have emphasized that all candidates must bring their original educational documents , CNIC, domicile, and all other relevant documents at the time of the interview. Failure to produce original documents or any discrepancy found during the verification process will lead to immediate disqualification.
Secretary PPSC Afzal Ahmad, while congratulating the successful candidates, also encouraged those who could not secure passing marks to continue their efforts. The PPSC regularly advertises new vacancies across various departments, offering ample opportunities for public service employment in the province.

The announcement of the written test results marks the end of the first major phase of recruitment. The focus now shifts to the interview and skill assessment phase.
For Stenographers: The candidates will likely face additional speed tests to verify their shorthand and typing proficiencies as advertised.
For Computer Operators: The interviews will assess practical knowledge of IT systems, software, and data management relevant to the Punjab Revenue Authority.
For Sub-Inspectors: Candidates will proceed to the physical tests followed by psychological assessments and interviews.
The PPSC has reiterated its commitment to completing the recruitment process in a timely manner to fill the vital gaps in the provincial workforce. Candidates are advised to keep their documents ready and maintain regular contact with the official PPSC web portal for the latest schedules.
