PMDC Announces Confirm Date For MDCAT Test 2020

The waiting period for FSc Pre-Medical students has just been over as the confirm date for the MDCAT Entry Test 2020 has been announced after the approval Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

It has been decided to conduct Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) entrance test on October 18th, 2020 this year for admissions in the medical and dental colleges across Punjab whereas the number of examination centers would be doubled because of the Corona Virus this year. This decision has been taken after getting the approval from PMDC.

MDCAT Test To Be Conducted In 16 Cities Across Punjab

MDCAT entrance test 2020 will be conducted in 16 cities of Punjab rather than 13 cities and it has been decided to double the number of examination centers to seventy.

MDCAT Test Paper Pattern and Marking Criteria

According to official sources, the number of questions in the MDCAT test will be 200 while there will be no negative marking. Furthermore, the aspirants along with 65% marks rather than 70% marks in FSc will be eligible for the admission. As per the further details, in order to pass the entrance test, the aspirants will be required to get 33% marks instead of 60%.

Merit Calculation For MBBS and BDS Admissions

As per the official sources, the matriculation marks have been given importance again in setting the merit of the entrance test. 10 percent marks of matriculation, 40 percent marks of FSC while 50 percent marks of entrance test marks will be important while making merit.
