PITB Invites The Applications For National Freelance Training Program

Punjab Information Technology Board has invited applications from the candidates for the national freelance training program. The candidates can apply in the various offered courses that include technical, content marketing & advertising, and creative design freelance training. Through these training programs, the candidates can earn through the internet and work from anywhere anytime regardless of their geographical location. Up till now, the majority of the candidates have been trained by availing of the opportunities provided by the PITB. 

Joint Initiative 

Earlier the joint initiative of the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) had been announced to provide freelance training to the youth. The main aim was to empower the youngsters with diverse skills so that they can capable of doing work online. The PITB was established by the Punjab government to cater to the growing needs of information technology. The major focus of the organization is to improve digital literacy across the province by providing efficient technological services. 

Freelance Training Program 

In the meeting, the chairman of Punjab information technology board, Azfar Manzoor has said that through this training program approximately 22,000 or more individuals will be trained in the various centers across the country. According to the sources, these programs had recorded a heavy amount of earnings in six months from the two batches of the students. The candidates who intend to apply to the national freelance training program have to fulfill the requirements mentioned by the authorities. As per the PITB eligibility criteria, the candidates must have a valid computerized national identity card and a minimum of 14 years of education. The age limit of the candidates is 40 years. The Prime minister of Pakistan had earlier also stressed the importance of vocational training programs. In this regard, the directives have been issued to formulate the strategy for this purpose.
