Chairman of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam Raja, on Tuesday has said that educationally regressive regions in Pakistan are being acknowledged through the use of information and communication technologies in the province.

 As per the press release, in the launching ceremony of “Education Monitor” arranged by a society in a regional hotel on Tuesday, during his address, he said new schools had been developed in these regions as a result of which the access to free quality education had been made available to the resource less children, particularly for the girls nearby their homes.

Chairman of PEF moreover added that, Children from age of 5 to 16 years should be registered till year 2018 in Punjab province whereas impoverishment and backwardness should not remain an issue anymore in study of any children.

In his address he also said that, data of all schools of Punjab Education Foundation had been kept under the supervision of GIS mapping and hence the selection of new schools could become quite easy task. He also said that the addition of PEF technology friendly policy had resulted in providing quality education in association with partner schools.

 Managing Director of PEF Dr Aneela Salman and representative of DFID Dr Javed Malik also attended this ceremony. They said that Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) was the best model of government private partnership.
