Pakistani university among top 300 business schools of world

Lahore: Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has been ranked among the top 300 business schools of the world by a British ranking agency. British ranking agency issued its ranking list for top 300 business schools of the world on Friday.

Harvard University in United States topped the ranking, followed by London Business School in UK.

Suleman Dawood School of Business at LUMS ranked at 251 in the list.

Being the only Pakistani university to be appeared on the list issued by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), LUMS took to its official Facebook page to declare its accomplishment.

“LUMS is really pleased to announce that the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) now ranks among the top 300 business schools internationally, as ranked by QS World University Rankings for 2017” the page read.

Suleman Dawood School of Business has been spotted for the QS ranking as ‘business and management studies’ subject group. 

The rankings for every subject were based on four major factors:

1.       Academic reputation

2.       Credentials per paper

3.       Employer repute

4.       H-index credentials

The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2017 cover total 46 disciplines, highlighting the top-performing varsities of the world in every academic zone.

The rankings are gathered every year to assist the prospective aspirants in identifying the prominent universities in a specific subject.

Research credentials, along with the results of major international surveys of employers and academics are utilized to rank universities.

Last year, six Pakistani universities were ranked among the top 800 universities of the world by QS rankings.
