Over 70,000 planned polling stations have been associated along with the Google Maps by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

A meeting in Islamabad presided over by the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza looked into the ways to facilitate the voters of Pakistan.

For this purpose, the decision to use Google map was taken.

This decision will permit the voters to locate the polling stations on Google Maps. Moreover, the voters will also be able to calculate the total distance to the nearest as well as registered polling station from their houses.

Chief Election commoner as well as the other members of the meeting admired the work done by the employees and also decided to show the Google associated polling stations to the political parties as well as media in the near future.

It was also agreed in the meeting that these polling stations would be armed along with all the needed facilities before the next general elections take place.
