National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has made its position in the top ranking list of the Times Higher Education top universities. NUST secured 95th position on Higher Education BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings 2015. Run by Thomson Reuters, institutions in countries which have been acknowledged as “emerging economies” by FTSE are involved in this ranking list and also the “BRICS” nations of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa as well.

National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) is the only Pakistani university that comes in this top ranking list of universities. This university was founded in March 1991 to raise the education quality in Pakistan, particularly in the fields of science and technology.

NUST had granted with its approval in 1993. Over the years the university has appeared just like a leading institution in the government sector of Pakistan. The top universities ranking utilizes a same policy just like the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, cover all the main missions of a world-class university teaching, research, knowledge transfer as well as the international outlook by utilizing the 13 carefully rectified performance indicators.
