Islamabad: The first skills-based technical Education University of Pakistan is about to begin it’s functioning in September 2016 while it has also announced to hold the entry test for its first batch in June 2016.

The university will provide technical education to youth and arm the young generation of our country along with advanced modern science and technology, eventually reducing the shortage of experienced human resources.


Construction Technology Training Institute (CTTI) would be established at Mandrah, District Rawalpindi and will start its functioning as the temporary main campus of the university in September 2016.


In the past, Construction Machinery Training Centre (CMTC), the institute was founded in May 1986 through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and was moved up and renamed to Construction Technology Training Institute in 1992.

The university is also recognized by APACC (Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission) due to its high standards of training and learning.

The Agreement of the University has already been signed whereas PC-1 worth Rs 500 million is pending at the Planning Commission.

The university will start its working along with 6 fields for its first batch; Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Auto & Diesel, Quantity Survey and Information Technology as well. Entry tests for these fields are planned to hold next month and the very first batch will carry on its classes from September 2016.
