Pakistan has its fair share of relaxed tourism spots. Though, the tourism business has slowed down because of the security concerns in the country.
To make a change, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) in association along with the Pakistan Railways has agreed to arrange for a special Sada Salamat Pakistan train.
The Sada Salamat train will start its journey from Rawalpindi to reach its destination in Karachi, from December 25th.
Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation is targeted to establish tourism facilities at the railways stations to attract large number of people on daily basis.

Chaudhary Abdul Ghafoor, Managing Director PTDC, said that trains are a very economical way of transport plus these sorts of steps required something more reasonable for the people of Pakistan.
Pakistan was ranked 113th in the World Economic Forum’s tourism report in 2009. There has been no actual drive for improvement in the tourism zone in the past however, things are finally looking up.

PTDC In Khewra
PTDC is also considering establishing a Tourist Information Center (TIC) in Khewra.
Ghafoor, while conversing regarding the promotion of tourism in Pakistan said that Khewra Salt Mines are a backbone of the mineral industry of Pakistan.
For something to be appreciated at international, its work site can be a talking point for the foreign tourists, he added.
First Rock Salt festival was organized earlier this year which motivated the PTDC to take this step.
