The Pakistan Medical Commission has clarified the concerns over the Sindh MDCAT as they were receiving many queries from the students. PMC has informed the concerned authorities that the additional entry test apart from the MDCAT will be only necessary for the students that wanted to take admission to the public colleges. The private college does not require this test as it is not a part of their admission criteria. The PMC chief conveyed their point of view to Dr. Memon, Sindh's Chairman of the Provincial Admission Committee, and said that the provincial government has the authoritative power to determine the admission criteria for the public colleges.

PMC has also announced that MDCAT will hold a 50% weightage in determining the merit in the public colleges. So the entry test is organized by the Sindh provincial admission committee will consider being additional criteria for admission in the public colleges located in the Sindh. The national regulatory authority also informed the admission committee that entry test cannot be declared mandatory criteria for admission in the private colleges as the provincial government has the right to frame a policy for the public colleges only.

MDCAT Syllabus

Furthermore, it is also informed to the students that PMC has declared the common syllabus for the students of all provinces. No questions will be asked outside of the MDCAT syllabus. So the students do not need to study the additional material for the entrance exam.
