Over 45, 000 students appear in UET ECAT test 2013

Lahore, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore organized a combined entrance test 2013 for admission in BSc engineering programs and BSc engineering technology programs in all the engineering institutions of Punjab province. 
 
More than 45,000 aspirants appeared in the entrance test for BSc engineering across the Punjab province for around 5,000 seats.

Entrance test was conducted at UET Lahore, UET Taxila, College of Engineering Islamia University Bahawalpur, College of Engineering BZU Multan, NFC Institute of Engineering & Fertilizer Research Faisalabad, Siddeeq Public School Satellite Town Rawalpindi, University of Gujrat, Government College of Technology Rasul, UET Lahore’s Kala Shah Kaku Campus, Dr AQ Khan Institute of Technology Mianwali and LGU Lahore.
 
On Aug 25midnight the result of entry test will be declared which can be seen at http://admission.uet.edu.pk.

In Peshawar the ECAT entrance test was also organized by the UET Peshawar at the same time at Islamia Collegiate & Cricket Ground at University of Peshawar, Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad, and Grassy Ground Saidu Sharif Swat. Educational Testing and Evaluating Agency (ETEA) of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa conducted the test and made all the arrangements. Over 15000 students took the test from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including FATA, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan. The results of the test can be seen on August 20 at the ETEA website (www.etea.edu.pk).

As many as 11748 aspirants took the test at Peshawar Center and in engineering category around 11384 candidates appeared while in Computer Science Group around 364 candidates appeared.

At Abbottabad Centre a total of 1207 candidates took the test out of which 1180 candidatestook the test for engineering group, while 27 applicants appeared for computer science group while at Swat Centre, 2045 applicants’ tool the test and 2025 applicants appeared for engineering programs, and 20 applicants for Computer Science group. Overall 522 female applicants and 14478 male applicants took the test in all centers.
