Lahore: The role of aspirants for the country’s bright future is of great importance, chairperson of Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Nizamuddin said on Monday.

He was addressing the ceremony at Arts Council organized for a quiz competition in association with Pakistan Day.

The vice Chancellor of University of Education Rauf-i-Azam, MPA Lubna Afzal, UoE Registrar Manzoom Akhter as well as the director of Students Affairs Umar Saleem attended the event arranged by the Directorate of Students Affairs.

“The main objective of celebrating Pakistan Day is to express love for our motherland,” said Nizamuddin.

He moreover said that the continuous effort, struggle as well as the confidence were the hallmark of great countries.

“Students have a decisive role to play for the development of country because they are the future of country” he added.

He said that aspirants should focus on their studies. “They should focus on learning and work hard.”

Rauf-i-Azam said that the education was an uncluttered secret for the progress as well as for prosperity.

Afzal said that the youth were the sponsors of a developed country.

She furthermore advised the aspirants to seek higher education.

The Punjab University (PU), Government College University (GCU) as well the University of Education secured the 1st, 2nd and the third positions, respectively. Prizes and awards were also granted to the top participants.
