National Technology Council (NTC) To Enhance Quality of Technology Education

The national technology council is working to enhance the quality of technology education. The main purpose is to devise the curriculum by considering contemporary challenges. This was announced at the 6th meeting held at the higher education commission of Pakistan. The HEC chairman also attended the meeting and the other faculty members were also present. The chairman of NTC, Imtiaz Gilani stated that there are various issues of engineering technologists that must be addressed for the betterment of students. The learning and the research opportunities will be provided including entrepreneurship in the relevant domains. By grabbing the available chances the students can make success by leaps and bounds and will be able to play a significant part in the development of the country. 

Scholarships For Technologists

To support the technologists the HEC has announced 200 scholarships for the students. The national technology council has appreciated the initiative of HEC to facilitate the students so that they can study without having any financial issues. Moreover, many other decisions were taken regarding academic activities. A committee was formed to make the changes in technology education according to the HEC’s Undergraduate Education Policy 2020. It was also suggested that competent and eligible members will be appointed as the council member to manage all the issues related to technology education.

Emerging Technologies 

Our country is far behind as compared to the developed world and technologists need proper recognition. In other countries, engineering technologists are using a practical approach to problem-solving. But due to lack of appropriate resources, our students have not used this approach so the need of the hour is to take tangible measures for the betterment of technologists in the countries. In this way, the broader dimensions of this domain will be discovered that will boost the national economy.
