Murad Raas Makes An Announcement Regarding The Commencement of Scheduled Exams

The Punjab education minister has made an announcement regarding the commencement of the scheduled exams. The minister took his Twitter and said that all the public and private schools of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Sargodha are allowed to take the exams till 19th March 2021. Afterward, the schools in Punjab will be closed and no violation will be tolerated by the provincial government. So the minister has instructed the school authorities to adjust their schedule accordingly. The schools will be sealed in the case of any violation and the school authorities will be responsible in this regard. It has been further added that while the commencement of the exams the SOPs should be strictly followed so that there should be less risk of prevalence of the coronavirus pandemic. 

Closure Of Schools

Earlier the meeting of the national command and operation center was held in which it has been decided to shut down the schools in the selected areas of Punjab due to the upsurge in the coronavirus cases. However, the schools in Sindh and Balochistan are opened and the provincial governments have allowed 50% attendance and the students come on alternate days. After the spread of the COVID-19, the schools across Pakistan remain closed for an extended time period and the new academic session also got delayed. 

Exams Schedule

The federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood has announced that the government may reflect on the promotion policy for the students while considering the ongoing situation of the coronavirus. He clarified that the schools will not be allowed to reopen if the situation of the COVID-19 will not be under control. However, the Punjab boards of chairpersons has issued the matric date sheet 2021 for the students. As per the announced schedule, the annual exams of the 9th class and 10th class will be commenced from 25th May 2021 and 4th May 2021 respectively.
