The news report about the recommendation for M.Phil to be minimum criteria for Central Superior Services (CSS) and Public Services Commission (PCS) has been confirmed to be fake news.

Minister for Planning Development and Reforms of Pakistan (MPDR), Ahsan Iqbal, has rejected this news report as well as claimed that a lot of media outlets are deceptively reporting the Ministry by saying that M.Phil is going to be set as the minimum eligibility criteria for CSS and PCS.

In a tweet, Ahsan Iqbal put the untruthful reports and gossips to the rest. In his tweet he said:

The news reports ongoing round about on 8th September. The source of the gossip appears to be Javedch.com because it was the first detailed report that appeared on the outlets of media while this report was translated by The News Tribe as well as ARYNewsLive. Pakistan Career Council (PCC) also claimed to have talked along with the authorities of Ministry and certified the news.

According to the reports, the minimum age was going to be raised to 30 years while the retirement age was going to endure the same at 60 years old. That part of the news is still to be clear up by the authorities of ministry.
