MBBS and BDS Admissions 2025 Are Open in Punjab

We have a good news for the medical and dental students in Punjab! The University of Health Sciences has announced that admissions to government sector medical and dental colleges in Punjab for the 2024-25 session are now open. The MBBS & BDS admission applications will be accepted according to the admission guidelines set by the Punjab Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

According to the Admission Policy 2024-25 by the Government of Punjab, all admissions to all medical and dental colleges in Punjab will be managed only by the UHS Lahore. Private colleges cannot handle admissions on their own even if they are affiliated with another university. Eligibility Criteria for MBBS & BDS Admissions

1. Academic Requirements

• MDCAT 2024:
  • Minimum 55% (110/200) for MBBS is required
  • Minimum 50% (100/200) for BDS is mandatory
• Alternative test scores for foreign candidates (SAT-II, MCAT, UCAT) must meet minimum score requirements.
• MDCAT 2023 results may also be used. If both MDCAT 2023 and 2024 have been attempted, the better score can be used.

2. Educational Background

• HSSC Pre-Medical Group or Equivalent: Minimum 60% marks in Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics are required.
• IBCC Equivalence Certificate: Required for foreign qualifications.

3. Domicile: A valid domicile certificate from any district in Punjab is mandatory.

4. Quota Seats: Applicants applying under the quota seats must submit additional documents and fulfill additional eligibility requirements which are specified by the UHS.

Merit Calculation Formula

The UHS admission merit for medical and dental students will be calculated based on the following UHS merit Calculation Formula:

• Matriculation/SSC/Equivalent:                  10%
• FSc./HSSC Pre-Medical/Equivalent:         40%
• MDCAT:                                                       50%

UHS MBBS & BDS Application Process

1.       First of all access your relevant UHS Online Admission Portal from below:

1.       Register with your personal details.

2.       Provide educational qualifications and MDCAT or other test scores.

3.       Select seat categories and list colleges in order of preference.

4.       Upload scanned documents (maximum file size: 1 MB).

5.       Generate a challan for Rs. 2000/- and deposit it at the Bank of Punjab via branch banking or 1Bill.

6.       After submitting the fee, upload the paid receipt to your portal.

7.       After that review your application carefully before submission. Changes can be made until the UHS admission deadline. Once submitted a confirmation email will also be sent to every candidate.

8.       Applications cannot be modified after the submission deadline.

9.       Make sure that all your uploaded files are clear, legible and within the required size.

MBBS Admissions Schedule

Government medical colleges in Punjab will accept UHS MBBS admission applications through the online admission portal of the UHS website. Following is the UHS MBBS admission 2025 schedule:

BDS Admissions Schedule

Government dental colleges in Punjab will also process UHS BDS admission applications through the UHS online portal. Make sure you follow the below given UHS BDS admission 2025 schedule:
