Karachi: Before the next session, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) team “Peshawar Zalmi” nominated the Nobel award winner Malala Yousuf Zai as the amulet and ambassador of the team.
The owner of Peshawar Zalmi team Javed Afridi met Malala Yousufzai along with her family in United Kingdom and presented them with Peshawar Zalmi goods.

He also mentioned meeting an APS attack fighter.
Afridi claimed that Malala will be the face of Peshawar Zalmi in the coming season and will also be cheering for the team during the tournament in Dubai.
“It is an honour for us to be linked along with Malala Yousafzai who has made Pakistan after winning the Nobel Prize. PZ Foundation will also support the cause of Yousafzai for education of girls in Pakistan as well as in other countries,” said Javed after meeting Malala and her family.

Javed Afridi also presented Peshawar the official jacket of Peshawar Zalmi to the 19-year-old Malala, the youngest ever Nobel Prize winner, and only the second Pakistani to win this prestigious award.
“Malala has always been a great fan of Peshawar Zalmi, and this year she will be the face of this team, an ambassador of our team,” said Afridi.
Moreover, Malala has recorded a video in support of Peshawar Zalmi, saying that she is one of the big Peshawar Zalmi fans.
“To all the supporters of Peshawar Zalmi, I am also one of you,” said Malala in the video message received by a private news channel.

“All of us are supporting this team because we are proud of our Pashtun culture, Pashtun tradition as well as Pashtun nationality. We stand for peace and unity in the zone. Please come forward and support Peshawar Zalmi,” she added.
The second season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played from February 9th, 2017 to March 7th, 2017.
