Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday ordered the Punjab Education Department to take a strict action against Private Schools involved in collecting the fee of summer vacations in advance. Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi of the LHC has passed this order.

Shabbiruz Zaman and some others had filed the appeals and submitted that the private schools were collecting fee for summer vacations in advance. They claimed that this act of the schools was violation of the instructions of government. They further said that the government had not been taking any action to impose the policy.
During hearing of the case, a deputy secretary told the judge that the government had already issued a notification against the collection of 3 months long summer vacations in advance.
Though, he said, that the education department had not until now received any complaint in this respect. At this, Justice Qureshi remarked ordered the department to properly broadcast its policy.
