Laptop Distribution ceremony held at UVAS & IUB under PM’s laptop scheme

Lahore:  Almost 668 brilliant students of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore were given laptops under the Prime Minister’s National Youth Laptop Scheme on Thursday.

MNAs Pervaiz Malik, Shaista Pervaiz Malik and Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha distributed laptops among the talented students, who were selected on merit from various disciplines/departments of UVAS.

During his address at the laptop distribution ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of UVAS spoke about the academic, research, extension, training programmes as well as the accomplishments of the university. He said that given it high standard of education and research, the varsity has been ranked among the top 10 universities of Pakistan in overall ranking of Pakistani universities and in sports ranking HEC Islamabad.

MNA Pervaiz Malik called the performances of UVAS students a great display of national unity. He furthermore admired the role of university in development of livestock and the relevant zones.

Laptop distribution ceremony held at IIU:

Islamabad: On the other hand, the laptop distribution ceremony under prime minister laptops scheme was also organized at International Islamic University. The president Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh distributed laptops among female students on Wednesday at the new campus of university.

“The young aspirants must be well in touch along with the technology advancements and these devoces will be a source of refining the abilities of the students,” he said.

Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh showed gratitude towards the prime minister and government of Pakistan for providing laptops to the students of the varsity.

The youths were omen of bright future of Pakistan and Muslim world, he added.

The aspirants thanked the president for extending all possible support and admired the efforts of IIU Laptop distribution section to guide the aspirants about the scheme.
