Lahore: On Monday, the Lahore High Court extended the stay on announcement of MDCAT test result 2017.

These orders were passed by Justice Shahid Waheed on the requests filed by Ayesha Bin Tariq as well as other applicants challenging the MDCAT 2017 paper after claims surfaced that the paper was leaked on social media website “Facebook” before conducting.

During the proceedings started on Monday, a law officer on behalf of the Government of the Punjab request the time for the submission of answers of the committee set up by the government to investigate this issue, saying that these were not available at this time.

At this, the court suspended the hearing until September 28th, 2017 (Thursday) as well as asked for the copy of the committee conclusions.

The court also called on the controller examination of University of Health Sciences (UHS) in the next hearing.

As per the official sources, the report made by the Government of the Punjab found no proof of the paper being leaked, though, in this regard an official reply is awaited as well.

The requesters had submitted that over 65 thousands aspirants appeared in MDCAT test conducted on August 20th, 2017.

They suspected that the paper was leaked before the time and any result announced on this basis will be an injustice to the deserving candidates. They requested the court to order the University of Health Sciences to conduct the test again.
