Lahore high court has dismissed the plea of the students for the rechecking of exam 2020. Some candidates had filed the petition in the court that many questions were out of the syllabus in the medical and dental college admission test due to which students failed in the entrance exam. The bench led by Justice Ayesha A Malik has termed the petition not maintainable and liable and terminated it. The students also claimed that the Pakistan public commission failed to commence the exam in a transparent way and called it a failed institution.

PMC Act 2020

The questions were raised by the lawyers regarding the legality of MDCAT and the provision of the PMC Act 2020. He argued that the fundamental rights provided by the constitution had been violated as the PMC was made the authoritative body for the medical admissions without the permission of all the provincial governments. The lawyer requested the court to halt the process of admission to the public & private medical and dental colleges and direct the PMC to recheck the papers. But the Justice Ayesha A Malik ruled that after the result announcement it is not possible to demand the recheck of the MDCAT 2020 exam. So by considering the regulations the decision dismiss the plea has been finalized by the court.

Soon after the result declaration of the MDCAT, the students had demanded to recheck the papers due to some errors found in the announced result. Now the result has been issued to all the MDCAT candidates. Moreover, the PMC had also declared the admission schedule of the private and the public colleges.
