KU to hold annual convocation on Jan 30

Karachi, The University of Karachi is going to hold its annual convocation on Jan 30, 2014. The degrees will be conferred to regular students of the university. Degrees will also be given away to Bachelors, BS, Pharm D, Master, MPharm, MPhil students. Medals and merit certificates will be distributed to the position holders of various departments.

The registration form of eligible candidates can be submitted till Jan 16. The forms can be taken at the National Bank and the UBL bank counter located at the Silver Jubilee gate. Respective candidates can submit the fee from 10am to 1pm every day at the respective banks. No Candidate will be allowed to enter the convocation pavilion without wearing prescribed academic costume/robe.

Moreover, KU has announced the registration date for submission of forms of BCom and Improvement of Division. The forms can be submitted from Jan 06 to Jan 10, 2014. The original fee is Rs 2700.  Registration forms will be available at the NBP/ UBL/ MCB Counter, Sliver Jubliee Gate at Rs 100 each.

The University of Karachi was established in June, 1951. The present campus is established on 1279 acres of land, situated 12 Km away from the city center.

Today University is recognized as a leading center of learning and research in the Subcontinent and in the Third World. A number of scientists and scholars affiliated with the University are working in important positions both within and outside Pakistan and have won gratitude and acclaim.

The University has made the Centre of the Third World Academy of Sciences and got distinction in this regard. Students from several foreign countries are also pursuing for the Masters and Doctorate degrees. A large number of students from Karachi and other parts of the country apply for admission here because of its better academic and research principles.

The University has started evening classes in several departments at BS and Masters Levels and a Directorate of Evening Program was established to control and run Evening Program.
