Peshawar: The provincial Minister for Elementary Education Atif Khan on Wednesday said that Quality Assurance Authority was being established to provide quality education facilities to the children across the province.

Atif Khan was speaking at a meeting regarding the establishment of the proposed authority. He added that the foundation stone of the building of Girls Cadet College Mardan will be laid this year in December.

This girls cadet college will be completed at an estimated cost of almost Rs2.30 billion, he added. The very first phase of the building would be completed in next six months, he said.

He moreover said that Rs26 billion were provided for the provision of basic facilities in government schools besides addressing the shortage of teachers across the province.
