Peshawar: The vice chancellor of Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, Dr Hafizullah has said that KMU will launch the MS programme in three disciplines of Paramedical Sciences shortly after introducing BS four-year programmes in over ten subjects.
He was addressing at the laptops distribution ceremony under the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme Phase-II at Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPMS), Doran Pur Campus Peshawar where he participated as the chief guest.
The registrar Dr Muhammad Saleem, Director Academics and Admission Dr Muhammad Ilyas Saeedi, Coordinator IPMS Jaseem Khan together with the faculty were also present at the ceremony.

Dr Hafizullah said shifting of IPMS to Doran Pur Campus was a new beginning for paramedics. It is a multipurpose building which has not just enough places for academic reasons though it has also facilities for the co-curricular activities.
He furthermore announced that 8-10 new well qualified and trained teachers will shortly be inducted in IPMS, whereas appointment of two PhD faculty members will definitely increase the academic standard of the university.
The appointment of new in charge and two PhD teachers is in progress and they will soon join, which will definitely improve the academic and the administrative level of IPMS, he added.

The vice chancellor of Khyber medical university said computer labs should be used appropriately for academic purposes and the culture of assignment based learning will assist in boosting the knowledge and abilities of the aspirants.
