Jinnah College girls shine in BISE Peshawar Board HSSC Result 2014

Peshawar: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education BISE Peshawar has announced the HSSC result on Wednesday in which students of Jinnah College for Women (JCW) clinched all the top three positions. The top three positions has been taken by the students of FSc pre-medical group. First position went to Hubba Noor Wardag of JCW by securing 997 marks out of total 1,100 marks. Second position went to Hirra Muttasim of the same collegewith 996 marks and Mihar and Nazneen Liaquat jointly shared the third position with 994 marks each.

In pre-engineering group, First place was taken by Mohammad Yasir of Islamia College Peshawar (ICP) with 973 marks, second position secured by Ms Taliba Noorul Ain of Peshawar Modal Degree College Dalazak Road, Peshawar by getting 969 marks, while third place went to Adil Bashir of ICP by getting 966 marks.

In the humanities group, the first position went to Meena Rahim of Jinnah College for Women with 905 marks, second position secured by Ayesha Aftab with 901 marks and the third place went to Khadeja Ashfaq by getting 865 marks.

In computer science group, Hira Farooq of Jinnah College for Women got first position with 937 marks, Aleena Munir and Hamas Ahmed of Islamia College Peshawar jointly shared second position with 908 marks each. Iftikharuddin stood third by securing 891 marks.

As many as 47,417 aspirants took part in the HSSC annual exams and 35,254 of them could successfully pass it. The pass percentage remains 74.35 percent.

In the pre-medical group, a total of 12,867 students appeared and 11,758 of them declared successful while in the pre-engineering group, as many as 8,289 students participated in the examination and 7,516 could pass the exam.

The ceremony of announcement of result was attended by Peshawar BISE chairman Prof Mohammad Shafi, secretary board Hakeemullah and JCW principal Nilofar Zaib. Additional secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Department Qaiser Alam Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.
