Inter Services Selection Board ISSB General Guidelines and Instructions 2020

ISSB is the Inter-Service Selection Board that conducts the test for the recruitment of the commissioned officers in the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force. The candidates have to appear in the variety of screening test that determines their aptitude and abilities. ISSB has provided the general guidelines and instructions about the test. General instructions for the male and female candidates

Dress code for Male Candidates

  1. Shorts white: 1 Pair
  2. Canvas Shoes/Joggers: 1 Pair
  3. Socks White: 1 Pair
  4. A vest or sports shirt white: 1 Pair
  5. Track Suit/Pull-over or Jersey (in winter):1 Pair

Dress code for Female Candidates

  1. Track Suit: 1 Pair
  2. Canvas Shoes/Joggers: 1 Pair
  3. Socks White: 1 Pair
  4. A vest or sports shirt white: 1 Pair
  5. Pull-over or Jersey (in winter):1 Pair

Summer: Shalwar Qameez /Shirt and Trousers

Winter: Shalwar Qameez / Lounge Suit / Combination or shirt, Trousers, and Pullover /Jersey.

Specific instructions for Female Candidate

  1. The dress should be according to the norms of our society
  2. Bring a set of safety pins/Hairbands.
  3. The nail must be finely trimmed
  4. Hair should be tied neatly
  5. No jewelry is allowed to wear during tasks
  6. Wear tracksuit for the outdoor task

Documents Required for ISSB

Following original documents are required to bring along

  1. The original matric certificate issued by the board, mark sheet, and only result card will not be accepted.
  2. Result card or detailed mark sheet of matric.
  3. The candidates that do not have the matric certificate by their respective board should have the certificate signed by the Secretary Board in this regard. The certificate issued by the school will not be accepted.
  4. If the candidates appear with a revised or duplicate matric certificate, they have to explain the circumstances under which they were issued with these certificates.
  5. The original mark sheet/ result card of the intermediate is mandatory
  6. The candidates that have completed intermediate part1 should bring along the hop certificate of college.
  7. Equivalence certificate and birth certificate are compulsory in the case of O, A levels.
  8. All the candidates must bring the domicile of remote areas, and have 55% marks in intermediate.
  9. There should be no pasting coating on the degrees.
  10. In the case of non-possession of the required documents, the candidates will not be allowed to appear in the tests and will be reverted.
  11. The candidates can contact the concerned ISSB to clarify any doubt regarding educational certificates.

Candidates are not allowed to bring the following items in ISSB:

  1. Camera (all types)
  2. Audiovisual items
  3. Knife / Sharp weapon
  4. Mobile Phone
  5. Pets
  6. Liquors/ Drugs
  7. Fire Arms
  8. Government banned items
  9. Any valuable items
  10. A large sum of money

The guidelines for inter selection service board

Physical Appearance: A person’s appearance can tell a lot so show a sense of personal pride.

Self Confidence: Maturity and self-confidence is the product of experience. These qualities can be strengthening by involving in group activities.

Expressions: The candidates having a good expression in the language are preferred so you must have a good vocabulary and sense of humor. So try to develop these by participating in debates and group discussions.

Academic Grades: The good academic grades will show your progress and abilities throughout your educational background. Make your Mathematics and English good.

Leadership: The leadership qualities are very essential so try to seek out the positions of responsibility in the academic, social, and sports activities.

Fitness: You must be habitual of physical exercise before you report the ISSB.
