IIUI security guards allegedly involved in drug smuggling case

Islamabad: The Security guards of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) are allegedly involved in smuggling of drugs in to the campuses of university.

As per official sources, aspirants use the drugs freely in hostels and in the parking of varsity in evening and these drugs are being smuggled by security guards. Sources also told that thousands of aspirants are addicted to drugs because of not taking any action by the management of university.

Sources moreover added that the drugs are freely available at cafes of varsity and the owners distributed these drugs among students through their agents. An aspirant of varsity (not allowed to show name due to privacy concerns) told that bottles of alcohol were collected from roofs of the hostels.

Last month, a drunken student had also beaten an employee of the university, he added. Though, the representative of the university Professor Abid refused to give any comment on the issue in this respect.
