Huawei & Punjab Government Partner Up for E-Service in education and more

Islamabad: The government of Punjab is taking steps to digitize the healthcare and education facilities within the province.

Huawei is going to partner along with the provincial government in this regard and will be launching mega projects in numerous hospitals and schools/colleges.

For this purpose, the agreement between the Chinese company and Punjab government was signed just few days back.

Chairperson Planning and Development Punjab, Jahanzeb Khan, said:

Huawei Technologies Company has agreed to establish e-services pilot projects in four hospitals, one university, one college, one high school and one elementary school free of cost in Punjab as its pilot projects.

During the signing ceremony, CEO of Huawei Saif-Chi was present along with Secretary Specialized Healthcare Punjab Najam Ali Shah.

E-Classrooms and Monitoring System

As per the signed agreement, an e-classroom or smart classroom will be established in IT University Lahore. The new classroom will promote collaborative learning and will permit the aspirants to communicate and associate along with the aspirants also from the other educational institute.

A monitoring system will also be installed to monitor the activities on campus to certify that nothing suspicious is going on.

The system will be able to keep a record of the recorded footage from the security cameras nearby the college.

IT University Lahore is the only one of the universities getting these new facilities. Others such as Directorate of Staff Development Lahore, Government High School Raiwind Lahore and Government College of Elementary Teachers, Multan are also going to get an e-classroom along with an installed monitoring system.

Huawei’s Healthcare Solutions

The hospitals selected for the mega project of Huawei are District Hospital Muzaffargarh, Children’s Hospital Lahore, Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Gojra and Rural Health Center.

The firm will provide them with technical aid in healthcare solutions. These hospitals will also be going to get an information management system.

The medical solutions of Huawei involve tele-medicine applications, which include remote doctor visits, surgery demonstrations, consultation services as well as other medical videos on demand.
