Higher Education Commission (HEC) Announces Fully Funded Scholarships Of Hungary For All Pakistani/AJ&K Students 2020

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced fully funded scholarships for Pakistani/AJ&K nationals. The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme 2020 is launched by the Tempus Public Foundation, Hungary and Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. The Hungarian Government has launched scholarships for Bachelors, One-Tier Master's, Masters and Ph.D. studies.

All scholarships will be given on the basis of merit, student’s motivation and his role towards the progress of his country Pakistan. Moreover in this Hungarian fully funded scholarship will provide full tuition fees, medical insurance, free accommodation, and a monthly stipend.

Scholarship Discipline Details

Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships consist of following disciplines on the basis of which each student can apply accordingly.

1. Bachelor Degree (after 12 years of education)
2. One-Tier Master's Degree (after 12 years of education)
3. Master Degree (after 16 years of education)
4. Ph.D. Degree (after 18 years of education)

Scholarship Financial Details

The scholarship awarded by the government of Hungary to the students is fully funded and will take care of the finance of institute tuition fee and will provide monthly stipend all students of bachelor's, masters, and Ph.D. Students have the best opportunity to get a foreign degree by applying for the scholarship. However, along with the monthly expenses the government will also provide residence and medical facilities to the students. 

All students applying for Bachelors and Masters Scholarships will be awarded monthly finance of HUF 43,700/- (cca EUR 130) and all Ph.D. students will be given monthly HUF 140,000/-(cca EUR 415) for the first phase of education (4 semesters) and HUF 180,000 (cca EUR 530) for the second phase (4 semesters) until completion of studies.

Residence & Medical Allowance

The residence allowance of HUF 40,000/month to accommodation costs for the whole duration of the scholarship period. However medical allowance according to the relevant Hungarian legislation and supplementary medical insurance will also be given.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

1. All those applicants who are applying for Hungary scholarship must be a citizen of Pakistan/AJ&K.
2. The age limit for candidates who are applying in undergraduate programs is 18-22 years and for Master’s & Ph.D. the age limit should not be more than 35years.
3. The age limit for full-time employees of public sector Universities, Colleges and R&D organizations the maximum age limit is 40 years on 15^th January 2020.
4. For applying in Bachelor’s and One-Tier Master’s degree program all applicants must have completed HSSC/Intermediate or equivalent.
5. The applicant must have completed 18 years Degree/or equivalent for application in the Ph.D. Program.
6. All applicants are advised to fill their application forms carefully. Incomplete and field left unfilled will be rejected.
7. HEC attested documents like Certificates/Transcript/Degrees and equivalence of O & A level from IBCC is mandatory.
8. Applicant should make sure that all the technical programs must be recognized by their respective council such as Medical Commission (PMC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC), Pakistan Council for Architects and Town Planners (PCATP), Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC), etc. IELTS/TOEFL scores as required, where applicable.
9. The applicant is informed to submit a health certificate that indicated that the applicant does not have AIDS, Hepatitis A, B, C or any other epidemic illness. 
10. All the selected candidates will have to sign a legal document or bond agreement to HEC according to the given conditions.
11. Applicants must fulfill all other requirements set by host Hungarian university/Tempus Public Foundation/Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Scholarship Ineligibility Criteria

The ineligibility criteria for Hungary scholarship is as following for the applicants

1. Hungarian citizens (including those with dual citizenships)
2. Any misinformation provided by the candidate during the scholarship process will lead to withdrawal or termination.
3. Moreover, if the misinformation found even during the studies on scholarship they government reserves the right to eliminate that candidate.

Scholarship Applying Procedure

All applicants can apply through online application forms of the Tempus Public Foundation and Higher Education Commission online application forms.

Applicants applying through online application forms of Tempus Public Foundation will register and then they have to upload all the documents required for scholarship.

Those applicants who are applying through HEC online application forms will register first and then click on the “Academic & Research Linkages” under the “Scholarship and Grant” menu in the left-hand side panel of the online portal.

Candidates are informed to attach a scanned copy of the deposit slip of PKR 300/- All payments are to be made to HEC through HBL online facility.

Last Date For Scholarship

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme 2020 application forms will be submitted through an online portal other than an online submission of application form no other applications will be entertained.  The last date to apply for the HEC Hungary Scholarship is Wednesday 15^th January 2020.
