The Higher Education Commission is directing the Law Admission Test (LAT) for the LLB students who are enrolled in a five year undergraduate degree program. The LAT entrance test will be conducted for the students who are studying in HEC/PBC recognized government and private universities/colleges.

LAT Applying Criteria

  1. All students who have passed the HSSC intermediate exam or complete 12 years of education.
  2. Students who are awaiting Higher Secondary School Certificate final examination results are eligible to apply.

LAT Test Details

The Law Admission Test will be based on an essay in Urdu or English along with personal statements according to the given word limit. Moreover, the MCQs type paper will consist of queries including English, General Knowledge, Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, Urdu and Math. The LAT test will be 100 marks in total meanwhile the passing marks will be 50 marks for the entrance exam.

Registration Process & Details

  1. Candidates who want to register for the LAT test can register online through HEC official website.
  2. Applicants are advised to follow two easy steps for profile completion first complete my profile section and submit applications using the Law Admission Test link on the menu.
  3. Make sure to submitted application forms in case of SAVE or INCOMPLETE application forms candidates will not be allowed for the LAT test.
  4. Applicants are informed to mention CNIC number on the backside of their deposit slip and must submit PKR 500/- as the test fee which is non-refundable.
  5. The LAT test will be conducted only in the main cities of Pakistan. However, Candidates can choose their respective test centers from the given list.
  6. Candidates should carefully select their test center as once it is selected changes cannot be made.

LAT Examination Details

  1. Applicants will be informed of the test dates through online notification of HEC.
  2. Registered applicants will be able to download their roll number slip once the registration process is completed.
  3. Candidates are advised to provide a valid phone number and email address. As test/examination center details and test timings will be sent through emails or SMS to all the registered candidates.

Last Date Of Online Registration

Candidates are informed that the last date of online registration for the LAT Test is Wednesday 15 th January 2020. Moreover for entrance in exam center candidate must bring original CNIC and roll number slip.
