The Higher Education Commission has issued the schedule for the registration for undergraduate studies admission test. The candidates who intend to apply for the test are informed to fulfill the registration requirements mentioned by the commission. The HEC will conduct the undergraduate admission test for the candidates who want to take admission in the undergraduate degree programs offered by universities all across Pakistan. The USAT test is designed on the scholastic aptitude test pattern and covers all known academic disciplines of management engineering, medicine, IT, and social sciences at the undergraduate entry level.

USAT Test

The candidates who qualify for the USAT test will be eligible to take admission in the universities in the offered undergraduate degree programs. The HEC has also provided information regarding the marks distribution for the entry test. The test categories of all the disciplines have been listed by the commission to facilitate the students. The university will continue to announce their admissions independently and the candidates applying to the universities have to submit the USAT ETC scorecard for inclusion in the weightage-based merit determining formula. A score above or equal to 50 will be considered passing to qualify for the USAT test. The maximum score that any candidate can obtain USAT will be the perfect score of 100. Part-I number of test items (75 MCQs) include Verbal reasoning 35 MCQs and Quantitative reasoning 40 MCQs and time allotted to the candidates will be 100 minutes. In Part-II time allotted will be 40 minutes and the candidates have to write an Essay of 400-500 words (either in English or Urdu).

Who Can Apply for USAT Test?

HEC has stated the following eligibility criteria for the candidates who intend to appear in the undergraduate studies admission test.

  • The candidates who have passed the higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) or equivalent/ grade 12 education are eligible to apply
  • The students who have taken the final examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to take the entry test.

Proposed Test Schedule

The test will be held in all the major cities of Pakistan on a quarterly basis. More tests can be arranged in the case of any need by the higher education commission. ETC will upload the yearly test calendar of the test and the candidates have to register themselves through the online registration portal.

How To Apply For USAT?

  • The candidates have to register through the link provided by the HEC at the web portal.
  • In the case of any query while filling the registration form, the candidates can take assistance from the HEC regional offices to ask for the solution.
  • The submission of application comprises of two steps that include profile completion and application submission and the candidates are required to fill and submit the complete application form after entering the required details.
  • Only submitted applications will be considered by the commission for the test. The unsaved and incomplete application form will be rejected.
  • The USAT test fee is Rs. 1200/-per candidate that must be deposited in the Habib Bank Limited in the given account number.
  • The applicants have to submit a copy of the fee deposit slip through the courier at the given address such as  Member’s house, HEC sector H-8, Islamabad before the deadline registration. The USAT test fee is non-transferable and non-refundable in all cases.
  • The last date for the USAT online is 27th December 2021 so the candidates are instructed to submit the application form before the last date.
  • According to the HEC, the Undergraduate Studies admission test will be held on 9th January 2022 tentatively.
