Here is an important announcement for the students seeking admission to undergraduate programs at leading universities of Pakistan. The Higher Education Commission in association with ETC is conducting the USAT 2024. These Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) scores will be accepted at all renowned universities of Pakistan. This USAT 2024 test is designed like the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and covers all major disciplines, like engineering, IT, medicine (health sciences), management and social sciences. The purpose of this HEC USAT Test is for the inclusion of its score in the weightage-based merit calculation formula of universities of Pakistan.
USAT Test Categories
As we told you earlier that USAT test covers the all major disciplines of different academic streams depending on that USAT has total 6 different categories. The names of the USAT Test categories and their relevant academic stream are given below:

Who Can Apply?
- Students interested in undergraduate programs at top universities of Pakistan.
- Students who have cleared their HSSC/ inter or equivalent qualification can apply for USAT
- Students who have appeared in their final HSSC/ inter or equivalent exams and waiting for their results.
USAT Test Scores:
Your HEC USAT Test will consist of two parts, Mcqs and essay writing for each USAT category. The total USAT test marks will be 100 out of which students have to score at least 50 marks to clear the USAT test.
USAT Exam Centres
HEC conducts the USAT test on quarterly basis in the major cities of Pakistan but. However more test will be arranged if necessary. The HEC and ETC will conduct the USAT 2024 test in the following major cities of Pakistan:

How to Apply for the USAT 2024 Test?
Students can apply online for the USAT 2024 test by following the below given steps:
- First of all visit the official website of HEC ETC tests.
- Create an account on that website by providing your personal details like name, CNIC number and Email etc.
- Then fill out your ‘Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) 2024’ application from your account.
- After filling out the information generate the USAT test fee challan.
- Submit the total test fee of Rs. 1750/- via 1Link 1Bill invoice participating banks/ ATMs/ internet banking/ mobile banking or through Easypaisa/ Jazzcash/ Upaisa wallets.
- After submitting your dee, press the ‘Verify Online Payment’ option from your ETC account dashboard and upload the paid receipt of your USAT test fee.
- After uploading the paid receipt of test fee, you can finally submit your USAT test application.
- Students can save their application process in midway, but it is important to submit it before the deadline (17th January 2024).

Important Instructions for USAT Test:
- No need to submit a printed USAT application to HEC or send it through post. Only online applications will be accepted.
- The USAT test fee will be non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Students should submit their applications well in advance to resolve any queries or complaints by contacting HEC staff. This may not be possible during the last days of registration.
- It is mandatory for students to bring the original printed copy of their paid USAT test fee along with their original CNIC card or passport on the test day. Otherwise, students will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
- Students are not allowed to bring calculators, imaging/recording devices, or any other electronic devices inside the test centers.
