The higher education commission of Pakistan has announced the online registration schedule for the law admission test (LAT). The candidates who intend to take admission in the 5-year undergraduate LLB degree program have to appear in the LAT test. On the basis of the test, the eligibility criteria of the candidates is determined to get enrolled in this program. The test is mandatory for the HEC/PBC recognized public and private sector universities and colleges. 

Eligibility Criteria

Following is the eligibility criterion that must be considered by the candidates in order to appear in the test. 

  • The candidates who have passed the intermediate or equivalent study program are eligible to appear in the LAT test. 
  • The candidates who have appeared in the final exams of higher school secondary certificate and awaiting results can appear in the test.

Test Pattern And Syllabus

The test pattern and the syllabus of the test are mentioned below in the table. The total marks of the test are 100 while the passing marks are 50.

Registration Process

  • For online registration, the candidates have to fill the application form on the HEC web portal.
  • Only the completely filled and submitted applications will be considered for the LAT test.
  • The fee of the test is Rs.500/- that can be deposited in the branch of Habib bank limited, Account title: higher education commission and branch code: 1742. The bank draft and pay order will not be accepted. 
  • The applicants are required to send a copy of the deposited fee challan through the courier to the HEC headquarters in Islamabad before the last date of registration.
  • The candidates have to mention their CNIC at the backside of the fee challan.  
  • The fee of the test is non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Examination Details

  • The LAT test will be conducted by the higher education commission on 7th March 2021. 
  • A week before the test the roll number slips will be issued to the registered candidates. 
  • The Email and SMS will be sent to the candidates about the date, day, and venue of the exam. The candidates are required to mention the valid email and phone number while filling the application form. 
  • On the test day, the candidates should bring the print of the roll number slip and original ID card. 
  • The HEC LAT test will be held in the major cities across Pakistan. The candidates can select the examination center from the available list and after the registration; the center will not be changed. 

Deadline For Registration

The deadline for the LAT online registration is 24th February 2021. The candidates are notified to fulfill the registration requirements before the due date.
