HEC Announces Research Awards 2021 For the Researchers & Scholars

The higher education commission of Pakistan has invited applications from the researchers & scholars for the research awards 2021. The aim of these awards is to appreciate and recognize the efforts of the researchers that have promoted the publications and played a significant role in social welfare. For the awards, the HEC has announced three disciplinary domains that are as follows.

• Social Sciences, Law, Education, Management, Arts and Humanities, and Public Policy
• Engineering, Physical Sciences, Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, and Mathematics
• Biological Sciences Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Veterinary Sciences and Agriculture. 

Award Categories

The award categories in which the candidates can apply are mentioned below. 

• Best Researcher  and winner will be awarded the cash prize of Rs. 500,000/-.
• Best Young Researcher and cash prize of Rs. 500,000/- will be granted to winner.
• Best Publication and the winner will be given the cash prize of Rs. 1,000,000/-.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicants have not received the same award by the HEC earlier.
• It is notified to the candidates that the publications should not be plagiarized according to the plagiarism policy of the higher education department. 
• To apply for the award of the best researcher the candidate should be a resident of Pakistan for a minimum last three years. 
• To apply for the Best Young Researcher the candidates should be under the age of 40 years. 
• For the best publication, the candidates have the publication in the form of a scholarly book or a journal article and it should be not written by more than three authors. All the authors of the publication must be residents of Pakistan for a minimum of 03 years. Research articles published in the W-category journal and have a minimum of 100 citation count will only be accepted. Previously submitted publications under the same category will not be considered for this award. 

Application Submission

• The candidates are required to submit the online application form through the HEC web portal. 
• Before the submission of the application form, all the sections should be completed
• The candidates have to submit the required documents along with the application form as per the requirements mentioned by HEC.

Application Deadline

The last date to apply for the HEC researchers &scholars awards 2021 is 1st February 2021. The incomplete and late submitted application forms will not be entertained.
