HEC Announces PERIDOT Research Program

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has announced the PERIDOT research program for faculty members of public and private universities. The research proposals are invited from the candidates that are interested to apply for this program. This research program has been announced in collaboration with the French counterparts, for funding under the Pak-France PERIDOT Research Program. According to the statement issued by the concerned authorities, PERIDOT is the Franco-Pakistani Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) Program that aims to provide research opportunities to the Pakistani and French so that they can get good exposure of various study areas. The program is implemented in Pakistan by the Higher Education Commission and in France, jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).

PERIDOT Research Program

The objective of this program is to maintain the scientific and technological cooperation between the higher educational institutes of Pakistan and France. As per the key features of PERIDOT, the expected number of grants is up to 5 per year and the maximum project duration is 03 years. The priority areas of the project include Nutrition, Health Sciences, Sustainable Energy, Agricultural Productivity and Food Security, Innovative Governance, and Reforms.

How To Apply?

The eligible Pakistani faculty members have to prepare a joint research proposal on the prescribed application form according to the instructions provided in collaboration with the French counterpart. Moreover, the candidates have to submit the joint proposal via HEC online portal. The candidates have to upload all the required documents along with the application form. The incomplete application form will not be entertained by the commission in any case. So make sure to submit the form properly and enter the correct details while filling the application form. The last date for the submission of the proposal is 24th December 2021.
