HEC Announces Major Changes In Admission Policy For Undergraduate Level

Higher education commission of Pakistan (HEC) has decided to end the department-based admissions policy. In this regard Higher Education Commission has issued a centralized admission policy for admissions in (BS Hons). According to the details, the HEC has decided to end department-based admissions policy. The Centralized admission policy has been issued for admissions in (BS Hons). Centralized merit will be formed for the admissions in BS (Hons) programs.

Major Changes Made By HEC In Admission Policy

The Universities will be required to issue a single prospectus for admissions at undergraduate level. The aspirants will have to identify the priority list for admissions in various fields. Moreover, the aspirants will be given the option to add five departments to the list of priorities. The standards and regulations of all the departments will be formulated and submitted to the University.In addition, the higher education will also assist the universities in the preparation of the admission system and for this purpose HEC has issued a new policy to the vice-chancellors and rectors of all the universities.
