The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan has announced June 30th as the deadline for the online registration of Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law-GAT) during the pandemic Covid-19.
As per the commission, just the applicants having bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent degree recognized by the Higher Education commission and Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) are eligible to apply for Law GAT Test. The interested and eligible candidates will be able to download the roll number slips through the official website one week prior the test date and will be needed to attach it together with the original CNIC before entering the examination center.
The Successful applicants who will pass the test will be able to apply to the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) for registration as a lawyer.Have a Look on Jobs in Pakistan Bar Council.
Earlier, Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) had ordered to start again the Law GAT via higher education commission Pakistan to ensure complete screening and evaluation of candidates aiming to join the legal profession for the law practice.
Eligibility Criteria for Law-GAT Test:

A candidate who has successfully completed bachelor’s degree in Law from HEC recognized university are eligible to apply for this test.

Those applicants who already appeared in HEC LA test on September 15th, 2019 and have not obtained good marks are also eligible to apply in this LAW test.

Candidate must secure more than 50 percent marks in the test.

The candidate has three chances to clear the LAW GAT test.
