Previously the Prime minister had approved the Special CSS exams to fill the 188 vacancies. At that time it was announced that these examinations will be held in the last of this year. Now according to the sources, it has been confirmed that the federal government has do the preparations to conduct the special examination by December. The decision has been finalized and the summary has been sent to the prime minister and federal cabinet to conduct the exams in December.
CSS Special Examination 2020
The main reason to hold these exams is to fill the available vacancies for the Grade 17 officers that have not been filled from the last four years. The CSS exams will be held under the supervision of the Federal Public Service Commission of Pakistan. According to the quota, the division of the vacant seats for the different provinces is as follows
- Balochistan: 49 seats
- Rural Sindh: 41 seats
- Urban Sindh: 19 seats
- Khyber Pakhtunkhawa: 22 seats
- FATA/Gilgit-Baltistan: 16 seats
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 2 seats
- Punjab Minorities Quota: 39 seats
