Government Launches App For Special Education

Dr. Shireen Mazari, minister of human rights has launched an application for special children. The main purpose of the app is to guide the parents of special children so that they can access the training centers and institutions for various rehabilitation services. The mobile application will also help the parents to choose the educational institute for their children and also apply online for the admissions that are working under the Directorate General of Special Education (DSGE). It also provides detailed information about the admission policies, services, and facilities of the special education centers. Furthermore, the app also allows you to know about the status of the submitted application and provides feedback options. 

Selection of Educational Institute

The minister further appreciated the efforts of the National Information of Technology Board as a milestone has been achieved. In this way, almost 30,000 special students will be able to join the education stream. Special Education Director-General Sheikh Azhar Sajjad said his directorate has taken this initiative to provide equal learning opportunities to the special children. Many such students could not be able to join the educational institutes and centers due to a lack of proper guidance. Now, this app will surely facilitate the parents of those children and they can choose a suitable institute near to their residence. 

Free Services Provided 

The app will promote the chances of social progress, education, and rehabilitation for differently-abled children as well as adults. DGSE will provide the information regarding the vocational training, rehabilitation services, and education for special children. Apart from this various services such as occupational therapy, ophthalmology speech therapy, audiology, physiotherapy, medical, and artificial limbs will also be provided free of cost to special children. The app is available on the Google Play Store from where it can be easily downloaded.
