Lahore: In their untiring efforts to help the youth of Pakistan in every possible way, the government of Punjab has announced that it will be distributing 100,000 laptops among the students during the academic year 2016-2017.


For this purpose, the Punjab Government has allocated 4 billion Rupees for the distribution of 100,000 laptops among college and university students of Punjab Province.


The news comes in front along with the announcement of provincial budget 2016. Punjab Finance Minister, Dr. Ayesha Ghous Pasha, presented the annual budget which has a disbursement of Rs. 1681.41 billion during the Punjab Assembly session held this Monday.

The total budget has been divided into different categories out of which Rs. 20 billion has been given for the agriculture sector, Rs. 1,584 million for social welfare while Rs. 7.5 billion for industrial development.

The government of Punjab is also allocating Rs. 46.86 billion for the betterment of higher education sector in the country.
