Islamabad, Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad (Federal Board) announced the matric 10th class result 2011, all top positions were got by female students and also got higher pass percentage as compare to male students.
Arooma Majid, student of Army Public School for Girls of Lahore Cantt got first position with 1022 marks. Second position was clinched by Ayesha, student of Islamabad Model college for Girls with 1021 marks and third position is shared by two female students Sumbal of Garrison Academy Kharian and Naima Daood of Islamabad Model College by getting 1018 marks.
In Humanities Group, Saad Jan from Institute of Islamic Sciences, Sattra Meel, Islamabad, got first position by getting 940 marks. Hajran student of Pakistan International School, Jeddah, got second position with 937 marks while Waqas Mahmood Abbasi from Institute of Islamic Sciences, Islamabad, gain third position with 919 marks.
Total 39140 regular students were appeared in science group matric exams 2011 and 36,241 students have been declared pass and 2,866 failed. The pass percentage in science group (regular) is 92.6 per cent. In Humanities group total of 47,387 regular students were appeared and 42,729 students have been declared pass. The pass percentage in humanities group (regular) is 78.67 per cent.
Total 7,989 students were appeared in the science group and 3,823 students have been declared pass. The pass percentage in science group (private) is 47.85 per cent.
A total of 2,765 private students were appeared in humanities group out of which 889 students declared passed while 1,868 students have been declared fail. The pass percentage of students in humanities (private) is 39.39 per cent.
The pass percentage of girls in the science group is 96.74 per cent in contrast with the 89.90 per cent of boys. On the other hand 83.33 is the pass percentage of girls in humanities in contrast with the 59.04 percentage of boys.
The private candidates pass percentage of boys’ students is 43.1% while the girls crossed boys in pass percentage also female students pass percentage is 60%. The pass percentage of female students in humanities group is 46.35% and male students is 32.15%.
