Lahore: On Wednesday, Government College University (GCU) Lahore and Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), Karachi, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote research as well as awareness on quality control.
The vice chancellor of Government college University Dr Hassan Amir Shah and PSQCA Director General Muhammad Khalid Siddiq signed the 13-point agreement at a specially organized signing ceremony at GCU, Lahore.

As per the signed agreement, PSQCA will provide all technical aid to the varsity in establishing a standardization, quality and technology management wing.
PSQCA will also involve senior faculty members as well as the scientists of Government College University in its technical committees for various product evaluations.

Siddiq stressed on need to include subjects relevant to quality control/assurance in the syllabus of the university, saying they were going to sign an accord along with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in this regard.
